Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to receive Meryl Streep Award for Excellence

Latest Bollywood News, Women in Film and Television (WIFT) India Awards have been set up to honor movies and television’s best female actress. Bollywood and Hollywood’s Female Best Actress will be selected under these awards. For the first time Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been selected from the Indian Film Industry for the Meryl Streep Excellence Award.

As Per bollywood updates the Award Ceraminy is scheduled to be held in Hyatt Regency of Washington, DC on September 8. This award is established in the Honour of Hollywood Veteran Actress Meryl Streep. WIFT India is a branch of WIFT International, which encourages females working in films, TVs, videos and other media.

According to bollywood news the names include: Apart from Aishwarya Rai, Sridevi’s daughter of Jahanvi Kapoor who has been debuting with Dhadak Movie in Bollywood, film maker Zoya Akhtar , will also be honored at the function. This award will be held with the South Asian Film Festival, which runs from September 7 to 9.

It is worth mentioning that in 1998, Meryl Streep was also awarded the WIFT Crystal Award.

Merrill is Inspiration: Founder President of the WIFT India Award, Patricia D’Horosario said in an interview to the Hollywood Reporter – Whether it is a matter of dedication to Meryl Streep’s work or her charity. Our goal is to give the females a chance to keep their identity in the Male Dominated World.

Worldwide Is Everyone’s Presence: At the Cannes Film Festival of 2002, there was a special screening of the movie “Devdas”. Bollywood updates, In 2004, she got a special attestation in British director Gurinder Chadha’s film Bride and Prejudice. Even before this, she has worked in the Tamil adaptation of Jane Austen’s Novel Sense and Sensibility.
